The Big Issue Foundation is looking for an experienced Group Marketing Manager to join their team.
Created as a business solution to a social problem, The Big Issue was founded in 1991 to provide vulnerably housed people with a legal way to earn money. Big Issue vendors buy The Big Issue magazine for £1.25 and sell it for £2.50, earning £1.25 for each copy that they sell.

About the role:
The Big Issue Group is looking for an experienced Group Marketing Manager to work in our Marketing & Communications Department, this is on a 1 year fixed term contract as maternity cover.
The Group Marketing Manager will have primary responsibility for devising and developing marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on the development and implementation of digital campaigns. They will also oversee the creation of collateral to support growth across all Big Issue Group business lines, ensuring the consistent application of brand values and key messages across all material. They will play a central role in the development a Group wide data management and acquisition strategy, seeking to develop third-party arrangements and partnerships which support audience growth. The post-holder will also play a central role in ensuring effective internal communication.
Reporting to the Group Marketing & Communications Director, you will:
-Seek to promote The Big Issue Groups mission, activities and achievements -Seek to drive sales of the magazine through both national and local marketing activities -Support the growth of Big Issue Invest, through targeted communication with the social enterprise sector and social investment community. -Create collateral and devise and implement digital advertising campaigns to support the development and growth of our online shop. -Assist in the planning and organisation of events and will liaise with stakeholders across the organisation to support the maintenance and growth of our social media presence
To succeed in this role you will have:
-A proven ability to successfully develop and deliver marketing objectives for a growing business significant experience of PPC, content marketing and SEO -A personable manner and experience of building successful relationships both internally and externally -The ability to effectively manage a large workload with a variety of constituent parts, and to operate within a tight-knit and busy team -Excellent oral and written skills, advanced IT and database management skills
In addition knowledge and experience of using digital channels to achieve business objectives are crucial, as is a commitment to the social objectives and values of The Big Issue Group
