Our client, an independent sixth form college in the heart of London, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced maths to join their successful and thriving department.
An independent sixth form college located in Central London which caters for a predominantly international students is looking to recruit a dynamic and engaging maths teacher. There are roughly 300 students on roll and over 48 countries represented across the school. The college tutors mostly for A-levels but some subjects are offered as part of a new UFP (Undergraduate Foundation Programme) qualification. The college is part of a wider group of similar colleges around the UK and is well resourced, well-funded and received the highest award possible at inspection. Results and pastoral care are excellent and pupils go onto study at top universities around the world.
The maths teacher is required to deliver A-level maths to students across the college. The role is to commence in January and is fixed until the end of the academic year. Maths is a popular subject at the college so candidates can expect to make use of plentiful resources. The school like fast paced lessons so teachers should be dynamic and engaging, and be confident and fluent with the teaching content. The College requires a highly educated and proven maths teacher. Experience teaching STEPs and Further Maths is desired. They also need to be enthusiastic about the subject and be willing to be part of the wider school ethos.
The salary range is on the school's own scale and dependent on skillset, qualifications and experience.
